The love for Legos runs deep in our family and as much as I want to sometimes give them all away when I step on yet another piece or fish one out of the baby's mouth, I really enjoy seeing all the creative things the kids come up with. We've recently discovered Plus-Plus blocks which have been a fun alternative. Their tubes are also easy to carry around and have been great to keep the kids busy on long car rides or whenever we need to keep them entertained on the go.

The weather reached 80F in Brooklyn this week and hot, sunny days calls for Vietnamese Iced Coffee (cà phê sữa đá)! I love a strong cup of coffee (and supporting a fellow Vietnamese American-owned business!) and have really enjoyed the coffee we've been getting from Nguyen Coffee Supply. They also sell a bundle to make your own traditional Vietnamese Coffee at home.

I got my second vaccine this week (woohoo!!) and was filled with hope and excitement for a somewhat return to "normal" - hugging friends! kids going back to school in person! dinners at our favorite neighborhood restaurants! - the list goes on. While I'm eagerly skipping towards the light at the end of the tunnel, I've also been pausing to reflect on some of the silver linings of the past year. While the past year has been near impossible for many families, this article about some of the positive changes interviewed families would like to carry into post-pandemic life resonated with me.
Happy Weekend!
